Mission Statement: I have yet managed to establish much contact with actual people and it is doubtful this will happen anytime soon, so blogging it is! I also have not started my Netflix subscription yet.
Gossip: The State Senator Georgia got elected and who’s INAUGURATION I WENT TO! got arrested for assaulting women. Apparently this is not devastating/disappointing, but HILARIOUS to all involved. People were running in and out of the office all day making jokes about the “groper.” According to accusations, this man used to dress up like a homeless person and assault people on the street. When arrested, he gave a fake name (that of one of his colleagues) and attempted to run away (in broad daylight).
Should I be offended that he did not make lewd comments to me when he met me? That being said, it was in a ballroom in the Mass State House… but just in case I really should wear sluttier clothing.
Update: I moved into my apartment last night. The place is nice, but my room is a bit smaller than I expected (or I just have too much shit). Summer Kathleen now has 2 pet cats. I always forget that I am allergic to cats until I live with them.
Their names are “Cody” and “Cream Cheese.” [pictures will follow when camera arrives0 Cody is much larger. Apparently the person I am subletting from found Cream Cheese in Morocco or something while she was doing Peace Corps. (hopefully I will have enough cat material to eventually give them their own LOLcatz bold heading)
The neighborhood is pretty nice. It is about a mile (?) to the Harvard Square T, but Georgia said it is a super safe (rich) neighborhood.
Politix: I don’t know yet which campaign I will be working on. The one in Gloucester had a little “tax evasion” problem… so that might not be the best option. There is a gay male candidate who got his signatures stolen and will now be running a “sticker campaign.” That could be interesting and he is running in Somerville, so I could likely bike to work everyday (fun!).
Plans: Tomorrow I think I am going to bum around Harvard and Davis Squares. Saturday I am going to Lowell, MA to attend some Democratic State Committee function and mingle with all kinds of muckety mucks (perfect opportunity to sleep my way to the top).
Sunday I think I will take a commuter rail northward. I want to see the ocean/lighthouses/break my vegetarianism. FISH!
